Samsung S26 Lineup – First Look at the Latest Flagship Series
These are the latest from Samsung. Samsung is launching the latest S26 lineup next year. This is the S26. It says S26 Ultra and S26 Edge
Unboxing & First Glimpse
Not even a retail box, because these are dummy units. But what if, in the future, mobile phone boxes were made like this: remove the charger, remove the cable, remove everything. You just get a box like this. Well, you never know?
This is the base variant. This is the Edge, and I’d say the Plus variant. And here comes the big one: the Ultra. So, let’s remove it. First, there’s a screen protector. It’ll slide out from here. Okay. So there you have it. Then let’s see the Plus and the base. Okay.
Design Changes
And guys, there’s been a lot of design changes. Before we talk about that, let’s have a closer look at this entire lineup. Just get a feel for it. Then, let’s talk about the upgrades in this S26 lineup.
Okay, so guys, did you see a glimpse of this new S26 lineup? So, guys, the lineup here is going to be something like this: this will be the base S26. Then, here, we’re calling it the Edge. This phone looks quite sleek, but I feel like this would be the S26 Plus.
Cosmetic/Aesthetic Changes
You know the in-hand feel and the overall package. It’s a different setup. The style is the same. A dual-camera setup is also on offer. It might even be called the S26 Edge. Who knows, they might even ditch the Plus, you never know.
And this is the base variant, again in this new style, where the three cameras aren’t separate. There’s a common platform for all three, and of course, an LED flash. It’s much smaller and, you know, much boxier. The corners are basically similar in terms of roundness.
Machinery:
It’s going to be a newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite J5 for Galaxy, of course. Both these headphones now would be driven by the up-to-date Exynos chip, the Exynos 2600. It’s successful to be based on 2 nanometers, friends. And I definitely have some really high hopes and expectations with this Exynos chip in terms of efficiency and performance.
Battery & Charging
The battery is also going to be upgraded. It’s going to be a little bigger in the base. And the battery of Ultra may also be slightly increased from 5000 mAh.
Samsung may use a slightly bigger battery. Or even if it uses the 5000 mAh one, then still it would be with even faster charging support because we can get roughly 60 or 65 W charging in it. This would have 45 Ws and 25 W respectively.
Display & Software
Along with this, friends, we are going to get Quad HD Plus screen all across the line up. So I think this is a very good upgrade.
And if we talk from the software point of view, then of course we will get the latest UI 8.5. We are going to get many Galaxy AI features as well.
Camera Highlights
Friends, if we talk about camera as a highlight, then here the main camera of S26 Ultra will be of 200 megapixels. Ultra wide is of 50 megapixels. The Teleoto is a 50-megapixel camera with 5X periscope zoom and a 12-megapixel camera with 3X zoom. But the aperture is probably going to be F1.4.
So I think low light photography, videography etc. will be greatly enhanced in this.
Software Enhancements & Privacy Screen
And if we talk about the overall experience, then I feel definitely a lot of you know, Samsung will definitely do the fine tuning. There is no doubt about that.
And one thing about which we are not able to understand so much right now is what will be the approach to clarity, is the privacy screen. Because we are hearing that it is going to come. Just like we use privacy screen protectors. Now, it’s built-in. You can turn it on and off if you want.
Of course, there will be improvements in the reflective coating, etc., and all that.
Overall First Look
So, guys, this is just a first glance. You can write it down.
The buttons and ports are quite familiar. We’re definitely getting the S Pen at the bottom, as we have in the S26 Ultra.
And this is Edge or Plus, whatever it is. If you look here, you can compare the thickness. The thickest of all is this one. The Ultra is Coming in second is the Base. And this device in the middle which you can see looking very sleek, this is actually quite slim.
And in fact, the in-hand feel I am getting of all these devices is really satisfying. Meaning, where the base variant is very compact and is also heavy, the overall in-hand feel feels like definitely a complete package.
It looks quite sleek here but still wait and you know the distribution, the way the camera assembly is, it looks good and Ultra being the Ultra, you already know this friends, is big and large.
Launch Timeline
So this is like this, tell me what’s your take about this latest line up, the launch of Samsung seems to be a bit delayed because earlier we were talking about February, but now it looks like it will be launched in January, around the third or fourth week, so this is the latest update.
